The period after the 13th century was marked by a new wave of Bhakti movement in North India. It was also the time when new professionals like peasants, traders, craftsmen, labourers & traders were emerging. these new professional classes were open & willing to listen to the teachings & ideas of the bhakti saints & thus, helped in its widespread appeal. Some of the well-known saints who propagated the bhakti movement in North India were Chaitanya, Sant Ramananda, Tulsidas, Mirabai, Kabir & others.
