Among the Mughal emperor's, Shahjahan was the great builer. Due to wide spread peace in the country and emperor's personal taste, art get encouragement during his region.
During his times architecture had received it's zenith. Shahjahan built several monuments which are the rilics of his age. To exhibit his greatness shah built built a magnificent throne studded with gold demand jewals-Takht-i-Taus. In the palaces built in pre Shahjahan's times red sand stone was lavishly used but he also used marble excessively.
