Answer:
Explanation:
Rajasthan was one of the state which actively took part in the rebellion of 1857.
First it started in Naseerabad, the British cantonment on 28th May 1857. Other cantonment like Kota, Pali and Tonk soon revolted against the British management.
During the rebellion by the soldiers, the British in Rajputana were helped by the native rulers. The rulers did not participate in the first war of independence and so after crushing the rebels the Britishers rewarded the rulers.
Lala Jaydayal, Mehraab Singh from Kota, Thakur Kushal Singh from Jodhpur, Tarachan Patel from Tonk fought valiantly against the Britishers but were suppressed with the help of the local rulers.
Hope this helps.
