Distance between kota and jaipur is 240 km. Two persons A and B both start simultaneously from kota to jaipur . A travells half distance with 40 km/hr and remaining half distance with 60 km/hr .B travels with 40 km/hr for half time of journey and half time with 60 km/hr . Find out 1. average speed of A and B 2. when and who will reach the jaipur first .

total distance=240km. now for A:a/c to question. half of 240 is 120 so time taken by A =120/40=3hr. time taken by A by second half=120/60=2hr so total time =5hr. av speed=240/5=48km/hr. similarly av speed of B is48 km/hr.both will reach Jaipur at same time.
