Three states of matter.
- Matter exists in three forms. They are solid, gas and liquid.
- Solids: The atoms and molecules are the essential features for the shape of any matter. Here both are held in a stable position and are tightly held. Hence solid can take a definite shape and volume. Example: Wood, House, and Car
- Liquid: Here the molecules and atoms are not tightly held instead they have an intermolecular bond to establish a physical relation. They can take up the shape of a mold in which they are filled. Example: Water, Syrup and molten metal
- Gas: It is an unstable product in which the atoms and molecules are dispersed. They don’t have any particular shape as solids nor they do not take up the shape in which they are filled. Example: Oxygen and Nitrogen.
