The differences between Population Growth and Population Change are:-

• Population growth refers to the increase in the number of individuals in a population whereas population change refers to change (increase/decrease) in the number of individuals in a population over a specific period of time.

• Population growth is expressed in percentage whereas population change is expressed in numbers.

• Population growth is determined by the difference between the birth rate and death rate plus migration rate per year whereas population change is determined by the difference between the size of population from the beginning to end of a specific period of time.

• Population growth does not affect the population composition whereas population change may alter the population composition.
