1)Himalayan rivers are perennial that is they flow throughout the year. Whereas peninsular rivers are seasonal that is they flow for a certain period of time.
2)Himalayan rivers have deep and long course while the peninsular rivers have short and shallow courses.
3)Himalayan rivers have large drainage basin while the peninsular rivers have comparatively small drainage basin.
4) Ganga and Brahmaputra are the examples of Himalayan rivers whereas Godavari and Tapi are the examples of peninsular rivers.
