And, second part = 36-x

Now, 1/5th of first part = 1x/5

And, 1/ 7th part of second part = 1 ( 36-x) / 7

According to question,

1x/5 = 1 ( 36-x) /7

By cross multiplication,

7x = 180 - 5x

12x = 180

x = 180/12 = 15

Therefore, first part = x = 15

And, second part = 36-x = 36-15 = 21
