 \frac{3x {}^{2} - 2x - 40 }{3x + 10} \\ = \frac{3x {}^{2} - 12x + 10x - 40 }{3x + 10} \\ = \frac{3x(x - 10) + 10(x - 10)}{(3x + 10)} \\ = \frac{(x - 10)(3x + 10)}{(3x + 10)} \\ = (x - 10)
