BY REMAINDER THEOREM-

Zero of the Polynomial

( 2x - 1 ) = 0

=> \frac {1}{2}

Now,

{P(x)} = {14}x^3 - {5}x^2 + {9}x +1

On putting the value of x -

=> \frac{7}{4} - \frac{5}{4} + \frac{9}{2} + 1

=> \frac{2}{4} +\frac{11}{2}

=> \frac{24}{4}

=> 6

By Dividing - ( LONG DIVISION METHOD )
