You must take LCM of 8 and 12 for common denominator....LCM is 24...

so...-13/8×3 and 5/12×2

this gives you -29/24 and 49/24

Now subtract them...

-29-49/24

=-69/24...

ADD THEM...

-29 +(-49)=-29-49=-69

Divide -69 by -69

The answer is 1
