 so the share of seema be 500 - x

now, 1/3x = 1/2(500-x)
         1/3x = 250 - 1/2x
         1/3x + 1/2 = 250
         5/6x = 250
         x = 300
hence, rita's share= Rs. 300
   and, seema's share = Rs. 200
