French Society was divided into 3 estates.
The First Estate consisted of the clergy and people who worked in the church.
The Second Estate was the nobility who possessed aristocratic titles in their names such as Duke,Count etc.
The Third Estate comprised of 90% of the state and had people such as farmers,merchants etc.

1)first estate - consist of celergy
2) second estate - consist of nobility
3)third estate - consist of big businessman, Merchant ,landless labour, peasant.
*only III state has to pay taxes.
