my ans is yes because it is for the people by the people of the people but it depends upon the leaders and also the citizens for example citizen of Switzerland and leaders are working for fulfilling the interest of people..and developing their nation but in my view in India democracy is not working well because of vote bank policy of political parties politics on cast religion etc ....are making the democracy of india weak.....but overall looking it is providing peaceful and harmonious life as compared to North Korea China...etc..
