Do other sections of Introduction to Sociology also use computers? If not, why not?

To my knowledge they do not use computers in lab the way we will be doing, however, they may well use them for communication purposes. To answer why, you would need to talk with other professors. Some of them do more qualitative and/or comparative/historical types of work that use data and statistics less, so that might be a reason. Some teach a lecture course rather than an inquiry-based course.
