Let the two parts be

x \ and \ (51 - x) \\ \\ Acoording\ to \ question \\ the \ product \ of \ the \ two \ parts = 378 \\ \\ So, \ x \ (51 - x) = 378 \\ or \ - x^{2} + 51x = 378 \\ or \ - x^{2} + 51x - 378 = 0\\ x^{2} - 51x + 378 = 0 \ ............ \ ( chnaging \ signs..)\\ x^{2} - 9x - 42x + 378 = 0\\x ( x - 9 ) - 42 ( x - 9 ) = 0 \\x - 9 = 0 \ OR \ x - 42 = 0\\\\x =9\\x = 42 \\\\we\ can\ take\ either\ value\ to\ find\ the\ two\ parts.\\\\ So, \ the \ two \ parts \ are \ 9 \ and \ 42 \ .............. \ Ans.
