no the stars EMIT light always but we can't see the light emitted by them as sun is closer to the earth and sun is also a star and the light emitted by the sun is more affecting in our earth as compared to the other stars as they are far away from the earth and sun is closer to Earth due to this we can't see the light emitted by the other starts in day we can see them on night as the sun is absent on night on half of the earth
