Muscle can perform pull. Biceps pull to close space between the upper and forearm.

Also, triceps can only pull to open the area again. Contraction is their only function.

You can say muscles will be pulled when you push the lever.

This will be done when the force is applied to the level by muscles.

They will contract and relax.
