He is a man of this world wise and virtue of a worldly wise businessman.
It is rather difficult to dislike Gaston . He is not interested in buying the Villa. He knows that his wife is simply trying to put off his father and mother in it. however he realises that he can earn 100 thousand Francs by out cutting both Mrs Al Smith and Juliette.

Here is ur answer

It is quite difficult to state whether Gaston was good or bad. But one can easily state that he was a good business man. He knows the trick to trap a customer.He tries his best to make Mrs.Al Smith accept his deal. He even did not tries to sell his villa by flattering and Juliet do with him. He was a clever man at he earned a handsome amount of money for the Villa which never belonged to him.

But in the other hand he actually cheated Juliet and Mrs Smith as the Villa didn't belong to him. He must told Them to contact each other.
