Yes, literature gives voice to the oppressed and silenced people.
The reason is because, when something provoking or motivational contents are provided in literature, with the experiences gathered by great people and shows the present scenario, it will automatically makes the reader aware of the facts, and readers nerves shall become very active.
The voice of people can be got, if the internal realization can be made to the people about the need of the voice, which can be only be done with help of literature.
