I think the term "unity in diversity" is an appropriate term to describe India, but, it's been threatened lately. The forces that threatened it are none other than fanatics and orthodox religious people. Before the dawn of the new government, the Muslims never had to prove their patriotism and Hindus never had to prove their secularism. No slogans were made by disrespecting a certain country that was once a part of our own. You wouldn't have seen orange colour everywhere. Even the green walls of Haj houses are coloured color. Is this the unity? I do think it can change but only when we hold each other's hand irrespective of any creed, gender, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs.
