De facto the title of the poem The Rime Of the Ancient Mariner is justified, for as the name suggests that the poem contains a tale of an ancient sailor. And as read in the poem it is clear the Mariner is reciting his remorseful tale to one of the Wedding Guests. The poem is a lyrical ballad which very beautifully creates an image of the entire journey in which the mariner killed the albatross for no reason.
