The rate of change of velocity is acceleration.

1.)A body travelling along a straight line with uniform velocity will have zero acceleration becoz the object covers equal displacements in equal amounts of time without changing its direction.

2.)A body travelling along a straight line with non uniform velocity will have acceleration becoz the object covers unequal displacements in equal intervals of time.

3.)When an object moves along a circular path,its direction of motion keeps changing continuously.The velocity changes due to continuous change of direction and thus the motion along a circular path is said to accelerated.

4.)A body travelling along a circular path with non uniform speed will have acceleration.
