Refer to the above attachment.

1. First draw a line segment AB of 5.6cm .

2. Then take a compass and set its radius to more than half the length of the line segment AB.

3. Keep your compass needle on point A and then cut two arcs on the opposite sides of the line segment AB . Follow the same procedure for point B .

4. You will get two points of intersection of the arcs on both the opposite sides. Label these points as C and D and then join these points to make CD which is the perpendicular bisector or right bisector of line segment AB.
