Step-1 . Draw a line segment MN of 6 cm.

Step-2 . Measure the length of 3.5 cm from M.

Step-3. Draw a circle of radius 3.5cm and M as a centre of circle.

Step-4. Draw two tangents on the circle from the point N . Assume s as a point of contact of tangent and circle.

(As we know that from one point only and only two tangents can be drawn on the circle and length of tangents are equal)

Step:-5 Draw a perpendicular a line from point of contact of tangent and circle. (Which is equal to radius).

Step:-6 Finally we will get a right angle triangle.

Step :- 7 Using pythagoras theorem we can find length of tangent which is equal to 4.87 approximately .
