Nervous tissue is the main tissue in the nervous system consisting of the CNS ( brain, the spinal cord) and PNS - Peripheral Nervous System.
Nervous Tissue consists of two types of cells: neurons (main cell) and Neuroglia (supporting cell).
Neuron structure varies in size , composition and shape. (unipolar, bipolar & multipolar).
See the diagrams of neuron and neuroglia cells in the enclosed diagrams.
Neuroglia (glial cells) also have same parts, namely, axon, dendrites, cell body, and the nucleus. They can be labeled exactly same way. Neuroglia are smaller.
A view of Nervous tissue looks a lot like a city map viewed from a large distance from space. A lot of cells are adjacent to each other like houses among streets.
