Draw a velocity versus time graph of a stone shown vertically upwards and then coming downwards after attaining the maximum height.

This is the correct graph with A being the starting point where it has the maximum velocity, B being the point when it reaches the maximum height and velocity becomes zero, C being the point when it reaches the point from where it was thrown once it starts moving down after reaching maximum height.

Let the initial velocity=u m/s
Let ' t' be the time taken to reach the maximum height h.
At maximum height, velocity becomes zero and the ball starts it's backward journey .
Here in the graph, we can see that velocity in backward journey increases but in negative direction till the stone reaches to ground.
