The distance time graph (x - t) of a body at rest is a line parallel to the time axis.
This is because the body (after covering certain distance), doesn't charges it's position but time passes by. We can also say that the speed of the body was .

- The graph is inclined towards the time axis when the speed reduces and inclined towards the distance axis when the speed is increased.
