Concept Introduction:-

It might resemble a word or a number representation of the quantity's arithmetic value.

Given Information:-

We have been given that equations x=5 and y=-4.

To Find:-

We have to find that the area of the rectangle so formed by these lines x axis and y axis

Solution:-

According to the problem

Area of the rectangle

=l \times b\\=5 \times 4\\=20

Final Answer:-

The correct answer is the graph which is attached and the area of the area of the rectangle is 20.

Concept

Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth

Given

X = 5

Y = -4

Find

1) Draw Graph of equations x = 5 and y = -4

2) Find the area of rectangle formed by these lines and x axis and y axis

Solution

Part 1

Step 1) For Drawing line x = 4

1. Draw a vertical line parallel to the y axis passing through (4,0) so that each point on the line has x coordinate as 4

Step 2) For Drawing line y = -4

1. Draw a horizontal line below the x axis parallel to x axis and passing through ( 0,-4) so that each point on the line has y coordinate as -4.

Part 2

Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth

Length = 5

Breadth = 4

Area = 5*4

= 20
