Pyranose structure of alpha D glucose
- The structure of glucose when exhibited in pyran structure it is called a pyranose structure of glucose.
- There are two pyranose structure namely alpha D glucose and Beta D glucose.
- The structure of alpha D glucose contains, one oxygen atom and 5 carbon atoms in pyran ring.
- When carbon 1 contains hydrogen at the top and hydroxyl group at the bottom it is called a Pyranose structure of alpha D glucose.
