The double bond can be present between any two Carbons. (Resonance structure). Each single bond can be replaced by two electrons (2 dots).

as it states "hex" in the beginning, this compound has 6 carbon atoms.
"yne" states triple bond.
1-hexyne means triple bond is placed in the first carbon.
the attachment has the structure of 1-hexyne.
electron dot structure is given in the attachment. but instead of putting triple bond for the 3rd carbon,you must give it in the first carbon.(i dont have the image of 1-hexyne)
