  • Damodar valley project is built on the damodar river on the eastern part of India in panchet.
  • The Damodar valley project was considered to be one of the most important and path breaking project in time but the Damodar valley project failed to deliver on the fronts it said it will deliver.
  • It does not stop the flood problem it said it would, the problem of excess water flowing in the villages is still there though it has stopped the brutality of the flood in the areas.
  • Aforestation is a reason why the problem with the reservoirs still lies big in front of the much acclaimed dam.
