YES

Explanation:

  • Droughts and floods both are natural calamities. The drought is a condition in which a region experience the lack of water. This occurs due to adverse climatic condition and the region receives very low rainfall.
  • The lack of rainfall causes the soil to become water deficient. This reduces the fertility of the soil. Thus very low or minimum crops can be produced on the field. Thus the prices of the food items increases in drought.
  • In flood it becomes difficult to supply food items from one place to another also the agriculture field is filled with the water. Thus the price for food items increases considerably.
