Step-by-step explanation:

4a +3b=28,. 2a+b= 26

in equation 2, 2a+b= 26

= b= 26-2a putting value of b into first equation,

4a + 3(26-2a)= 28

4a+ 78-6a = 28

78-2a=28

-2a=28-78=-50

-2a=-50

a=50/2

a=25

putting value of a in second equation

2*25 + b=26

b=26-50=-24
