I want to be a good person.

“Is that all”, you say? Well, I’ll explain a bit more.

Ever since I was little, so many people have asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I was small, I had many ideas. At the age of 5–6, I either wanted to be a singer, or a princess, and when I was about 7–9 I either wanted to be either a video game developer or a manga writer.

But right now, things have changed. I really don’t have any idea of what I want to be when I grow up. I’ve had so many different interests over the years — languages, music, art, reading, writing, figure skating (although I’m bad at it), politics, history (mostly modern history and Russian history), social justice, video games, etc. I know what I’ll probably major in at college, but I don’t know what I’ll do with those degrees once I find a full-time job.

However, I have an idea of the impression that I want to give on people once I grow up. The feeling that people get once they take notice of the work I’ve done.

I don’t need to be famous. If it happens, great. If it doesn’t, no problem either. I just want to be the best person I could possibly be.

I want to be helpful.

I want to make people’s days.

I want to have fun with my passions.

I want to be kind, selfless, and hardworking.

I want to be able to do something big about the problems there are in the world.

I want to do something that I’ll be remembered by so many people for in a positive way.

In other words, I want to be better than the person I am right now. That’s what I want to be when I grow up.
