to find its area
we have to find its side so
as all angles of a square is a right angle so
we can apply PGT to it
so
diagonal²= 2(side)²
let the side be x
16²= 2x²
256/2= x²
√128=x
the area of square = side ²=√128²
so area= 128cm2

jas6064: Why we have done 2 multiply by x
yashasvi019: it was through Pythagoras theorem
yashasvi019: as hypotenuse ²=base²+perpendicular ²
yashasvi019: but base and perpendicular are sides of square
yashasvi019: so
yashasvi019: and hypotenuse is diagonal
yashasvi019: so by adding it will result in
yashasvi019: diagonal²=2(side)²
jas6064: Ok
yashasvi019: follow plz i will follow back
