Let ABC be an isosceles triangle.

therefore, AB = AC

A/Q,

AB=AC= 2BC

Therefore, AB + AC + BC = Perimeter --(1)

=> AB + AC + BC = 30

=> 2BC+2BC+BC =30 (Since AB=AC=2BC)

=> 5BC =30

=> BC=30/5

=> BC= 6

Now, putting the values of AB and AC in equation (1)--

=> AB + AC + BC=30

=> AB + AB + 6 = 30( Since AB=AC)

=> 2AB=30-6

=> AB=24/2=12

Therefore, AB=AC=12, and BC=6

Answer:

Let third side = X

Each of equal sides = 2X

A/q,

X+2X+2X = 30

5X = 30

X = 6

Third side = 6cm

Each of equal sides = 12 cm
