Heya,

According to the question,

Side of square = 7 m

Surface area = (side)²
= (7)²
= 49 m²

If each side is increased by 3 m.

Then side of square = 7 + 3 = 10m

Now, when side is increased then,

Surface area = (10)²
= 100 m²

So, the area increased when side increased = 100 - 49
= 51 m². ..... Answer

Hope this helps....:)

length of a side of a square =7m
area of square=a^2
=7^2
=49m^2
after increase,
length of side of square=7m+3m
=10m
area of square after increased side=a^2(a=length of side)
10^2
=100m^2
so, area of square after increased side is 100m^2.
Increased area=100-49
=51m^2
