easy trick for knowing whether to find LCM or HCF in a particular question

If in the question written highest, largest biggest etc it means HCF and smallest, minimum etc, it means LCM

The easiest trick is that :-
• If you have to find a number which will be greater than the given number , then in tha case you have to do LCM . For thia you have to understand the language of question .
Eg :- Find the number which will be divided by 2 and 3 .
See thus question and understand that in this question we have to find a number which is greater than 2 and 3 .
So , we will do LCM
And ans is 6 ( LCM of 2,3 )
• When you have to find the number which is smaller than the guvsn number , then do HCF at that time .
Eg :- Find a number which can divide 6 and 8 .
See , we have to find the number which is smaller than 6 and 8 .
So we do HCF and the ans is 2 .
