It is physical quantity bcoz we can measure it by suitable unit that is Ampere...thank you

BRAINLYY: It is scalar
BRAINLYY: It has direction but does not obey vector algebra
Anonymous: vector nd scalar both fall in physical qnt..
DrjTmr: Please give me a correct anwer

QUESTION --- Electric current is which physical quantity and why ?

ANSWER ---

Current is defined to be the quantity of charge that flows past a point in a wire per unit time. In many cases the direction of the charge flow changes from one point to another, but the amount of charge passing a given point in a wire is the same at all points.

So, although it has a direction, The amount of charge that flows per unit time is constant irrespective of direction you specify.

'FOLLOWING VECTOR ALGEBRA' IS A MUST CONDITION FOR A VECTOR QUANTITY ; WHICH IS NOT FOLLOWED BY ELECTRIC CURRENT.
