SOLUTION:

An empirical relationship exists between mean mode and median.  

The relationship between the three central tendencies is given as;

Mean – mode = 3(mean – median)

On solving the equation we get  

Mean – mode = 3 mean – 3 median

On rearranging we get;

3 mean – mean = 3 median – mode

On simplifying we have

2 mean = 3 median – mode.

Hence the empirical relationship between the three measures of central tendency is 2 mean=3 median – mode. Hence Option A is correct
