We use raw material, human resources, auxiliary materials, money, land, transport facilities, maintenance efforts to produce energy and supply it to the citizens at their residence or to the industries. If we save some energy then all those are consumed less to satisfy the needs of the nation. The saved inputs and factors could be used for producing more energy.

Also saved energy implies less demand. Or, using less energy enables the government to satisfy a higher demand or the same demand over a larger clientele.

Measures to conserve energy:
1. Save water, food or other products.

2. Save electricity by switching of appliances and gadgets not in use. Use gadgets only as much as needed.

3. Use efficient appliances. For example induction heaters save energy and they are clean energy sources.

4. Save fuel by using vehicles only when necessary. Use efficient vehicles. Travel in public transit systems or shared transport.

5. Switch of engines at traffic lights. Do periodic maintenance of the vehicles so that they remain energy efficient.

6. Population control. As population is increasing, energy consumption increases.

7. Use alternate renewable energy sources. This reduces fossil fuel requirement. Using biomass, biogas will be very good.

8. Replacement of old fashioned lighting and motors, by more efficient LED devices and more efficient latest motors. These devices are most common and consume very large amount of power in the country.
