deoxyribose(5 carbon sugar)
phosphate group
nitrogenous bases( adenine,guanine,thymine, cytosine)

- Nucleotide is an organic molecule that is the building block of DNA and RNA.


# Components of nucleotide are -
- a phosphate group
- a sugar group
- a nitrogen base

1) Phosphate group -
It's phosphorus atom bound to 4 oxygen atoms.

2) Sugar group -
This can be either ribose or deoxyribose sugar.

3) Nitrogen base -
This can be A, G, C, T or U.
