from the last diagram, the resistors between point c and point d are in parallel.
so,effective resistance between c and d is
(50×50×25)/(50×50)+(50×25)+(50×25)=12.5
now observe the diagram,resistor CD and AC and bd are in series.so the sum gives
8+2+12.5=22.5=45/2
