When election day is reaching rapidly it’s worth asking: what is a voter responsibility?

Since 57.5 percent of eligible voters got franchise in 2010 “voting” will seem perfect answer.

That answer without historical content and some depth is very easy.

Those who don't vote and take for granted a right that take 125 years of political campaigning and civil war to extend first to all white men and women.

Another half century to confirm African Americans who have legal right to vote can do so without any problems and extend franchise to 18 year olds.

We take for granted voting which was not always our republican form of government.

Many framers of federal Constitution and state constitutions didn't like idea of widespread sufferings which they connects with rule.

It's a measure of lasting power of Declaration of Independence and Constitution that republic founded by “gentlemen” evolved into democracy rule by various replaced rule.

But framers’ has tensions regarding democracy which isn't totally unfounded.
