First, I would like to say a few words on Explore Himalaya Travel and Adventure generally, although the scope of this review is on the half day Heli Everest Tour. I was in Nepal 8 days and had 4 site seeing tours as well as one fixed wing Himalaya flight and the Heli Tour Flight. Explore Himalaya is by far the best travel agency I have ever dealt with and are responsible for making my trip to Nepal the most memorable trip I have taken in my life. From obtaining information, to booking the trip and finally executing all the details of the tours such as booking hotels, arranging tours, etc., all was flawless and professional. I was amazed at how efficient and organized they were and how each tour was perfect and the hotels four/five star all the way. And the guides were friendly and very knowledgeable about the history, religion and every facet of life in Nepal. I highly recommend Explore Himalaya for your Nepal adventure.

Now to the Heli tour. This was by far the most memorable tour I have had in my life and I've been to most if not all of the most scenic places on earth. I know using terms like "most memorable in my life" and "something I'll never forget" seem over used, but that really does describe this Heli tour experience. Since it was a charter flight, only me, my guide and the pilot were on board and the tour was tailored specifically for me. I wanted 2-3 landings for photography purposes, and I got 3, including two with spectacular views of Mt. Everest and numerous photo ops. Seeing the Himalayas generally is a thrill, and the flight from Kathmandu to the Everest Landings afforded some of the best aerial photography I've ever had - I took around 325 shots during the tour. One highlight was a landing at the remote Everest View Hotel which can only be reached by flight or trek, and there I had breakfast on a deck overlooking an incredible valley with the Himalayas and Everest in the background. Another was a landing at 17,000' with Nuptse you could almost touch and Everest close by. Wow, is all I can say. I highly recommend this tour as the very best way to view the Himalayas and certainly to get the best views of Everest
