National song is sung to the Mother Land on any national occasions. This song is very inspiring had help freedom fighters a lot during the Indian independence movement. It is very powerful and still inspires us to always fight for our nation wellness. It was first time sung by the Rabindranath Tagore in 1896 in a political meeting of Indian National Congress.

Two most beautiful stanzas of the original Vande Mataram song have been officially declared as the National Song of India in 1950 after the independence of India.

Our National Song is Vande Mataram and it is a poem which is from the fame novel of Anandamath which was composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay or Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in the year 1822. Firstly , it was written in Bengali and Sanskrit. It is a hymn to goddess Durga, as the national personification of India. Our National Song played a very vital role in the India Independence Movement, firstly it was sung by Rabindranath Tagore in political context in 1950 which was the year, after India's independence. the first two verse of this song were given in the republic of India.
