SCHOOL-A TEMPLE OF LEARNING?

It is often said and also believed that school is a temple of learning where teachers are put at par with God.But is that real in today's world, no it's not.This belief is changing now.It is no longer true that the school is a place where the child is taught how to grow up into a matured successful human being isn't it right? Rather,schools have now become a den for nefarious activities. Discipline? aah! it's now a thing of past and lack of it has only increased the woes of the teachers as well as the school administration.



One of the primary reasons for lack of discipline is the defiant attitude the students have developed due to the backing of their parents. A parents coming to school to accuse and argue with the school staff is one of the most common sights that can be seen in any school office. Often these accusations and arguments take an ugly turn and the school authorities find a court case slapped on them. These cases goes in litigation and carry on for years. No one like to invite problem, do we? So it is always better to avoid confrontation. Once upon a time,lomg ago,yeah really long ago fear of physical punishment was the only thing that could keep the students on the right path, but as I said long ago it was a fact but today's fact is completely different. Now it is not the students who fear teacher but it is the other way round.



With the advent to the cellular phone ,school authorities are at a loss of ideas as to how to use the cell phone in the school premises can be prevented.No matter how strictly the rules for cell phone are implemented,the students still bring the phone to school and use them in the way they want to. If the cell phone is confiscated the parents create a row over it
yet excepts his ward to perform well in his academic and other activities. It is no longer advisable to bring or introduce stringment rules regarding anything that concerns the discipline of the school as it will be met with equal opposition.



The trend today is to close your eyes and ears to an extent where no harm comes to your own person. Attendance in classes has fallen drastically and repeated warning letter
to the parents fall on deaf ears.The student either doesn't bother to show the letter to the parents or the parents doesn't bother to take the note of or even reply to such letter.
At the end of the session where the students doesn't achieve the required percentage of the attendance and is refuses promotion, all sorts of pressure is put on teachers and the school authorities to promote the child and if you don't succumb to the pressure you are threatened with dire consequences. The students are very well aware of the fact that they will not be meted with any kind of physical punishment and so they feel free to do as they pleases. In fact,the mentality of the student and the parents has so developed that the teacher cannot even threaten a student. Words have to be chosen very carefully while in a conversation with a student and any scope of misunderstanding must be avoided at any cost.



The classroom of today hold only 10% of scholars.The balance 90% are only there because they have to be there. They are only existing and contributing to the cateogary of unwilling learners. It is now the time for parents to realize that their support and beliefs to their children is only bringing axe donw on their feet.

At today's point of view, schools have become a place of exertion and anxiety. However, <h4>Schools are the temple of knowledge </h4>as considered in old times. But today, schools have become the place where students are supposed to be punished physically and mentally. But this brutality happens in some schools whereas some other are much far better off.

Examination procedure also determines how a school carries out its education system successfully to brighten the future of it's students.

But, as we all are well aware of creeping corruption in our foundational structures. Here too , corruption is prevailing in our temple of knowledge. Some corruption is in examination level, some in admission level, some entrance exam and some in maintaining the positions like Principal and Manager. This money driven tendency is hollowing the core of our students' future.

If these temples of knowledge will itself become the temples of corruption, then the days of future depletion are not far away. We will become the destructor of our own destiny.

So, it's in our governments' hands that they should check out the education providing procedure of every affiliated school, no matter it is government or private because every child has a hidden potential, we can't predefine that who will shape our future's destiny.
