Answer:

Christianity changed societies in Latin America in many ways, the european evangelizers presented the mass to people, act that was not done before, they began to name villages and cities after Catholic saints from Europe, but soon after they began to recognize saints proper to America , and Christianity was quickly taking root, the culture became a purely religious culture, the customs would change and religious dates would begin to be celebrated. That's how Christianity was taking power, taking root in Latin American cultures.

Christianity changed Latin America societies in the period 1500-1800

Explanation:

  • In Latin American, during the period from 1500-1800 Christianity changed people's lives in several ways, whether socially , politically, culturally or religiously. Evangelists also played an significant part in preaching widely and shaping the minds and views of the Indians in Europe. Throughout South America the Indigenous tribes were closely associated with Mother Nature and her recognition.
  • The Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas based their religion, prophets, and gods on celestial star, animal, and nature depictions. Aztecs and Mayans made human sacrifices in honor of their Gods.
  • These beliefs were modified by the evangelists, and introduced them to Christianity. Evangelists such as Bartolomeo Diaz del Castillo had encountered heavy Indian resistance. First the evangelists founded their centres of preaching, then they developed churches and inspired people.
