Ever since I thought that I want to be a fluent English speaker, I tried every single possible technique to improve my vocabulary.....is this sentence correct...or should i use wanted instead of want

ur sentence is correct...speak english with ur friends to improve ur english..abd also learn grammae to improve ur vicabulary..
can i use it while writing...coz past is generally followed by past tense...nd the sentence is i thought not i think...so r u 100%sure..coz i m confused
its because u have used pat tense already
